LIVERPOOL GIVEN FRESH TRANSFER BOOST

Liverpool could reportedly return for Brighton winger Yankuba Minteh when the January transfer window opens, after previously showing serious interest in the 21-year-old.

The Reds were understood to have made a £50m offer for the Gambian international during the summer, but Brighton stood firm and rejected the approach.

However, the situation could become interesting again in January. Brighton boss Fabian Hurzeler has suggested that Minteh still has ambitions of playing at a bigger club in the future, potentially giving Liverpool fresh encouragement if they decide to renew their interest.

Minteh has continued to develop into one of the Premier League’s most exciting young attacking players, combining pace, direct running and the ability to play on either flank.

With Liverpool looking to maintain serious competition in their forward line, Minteh could once again emerge as a name to watch if the club decides to strengthen in January.

For now, there is no agreement or confirmed January transfer, but Liverpool’s previous interest means this is certainly a situation worth keeping an eye on.

Could Yankuba Minteh eventually become a Liverpool player?
