Tottenham Hotspur have been dealt another injury concern ahead of their Premier League meeting with Wolverhampton Wanderers, as Destiny Udogie is now a doubt for the trip, according to reports.
The Italian left-back started in Spurs’ 2-2 draw against Brighton & Hove Albion at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium but was taken off in the 76th minute. This came shortly after his return from a hamstring problem, having featured in both matches under new boss Roberto De Zerbi.
The full extent of his latest issue is still unknown, but he is now unlikely to be included in the squad travelling to Molineux this weekend.
Udogie, 23, has made 24 appearances across all competitions this season, and his availability for the upcoming clash with Aston Villa is also in doubt.
With important fixtures still to come against Leeds United, Chelsea, and Everton, his fitness could play a key role in Spurs’ survival hopes.
There was some encouraging news, though, as James Maddison was named on the bench against Brighton after a long spell out due to a pre-season injury. While he didn’t warm up during the game, he could be in contention to feature against Wolves, providing a potential boost.
Tottenham currently sit 18th in the Premier League with five matches remaining, just two points from safety. A win against Wolves could be vital, especially if 17th-placed West Ham United drop points in their game against Everton.
