Tottenham have beaten off stiff competition to land Marcos Senesi, with talkSPORT reporting that a deal in principle has been agreed with Bournemouth. Talks had been progressing since April, and the Cherries had long anticipated his exit after the Argentine rejected a new contract back in December. Despite interest from Chelsea, Manchester United, Juventus, and Atletico Madrid, Senesi has chosen Spurs as his next destination.
De Zerbi Demands Major Rebuild
The signing is expected to be the first of many as Roberto De Zerbi moves to overhaul his squad after a gruelling relegation battle. Having kept Spurs up with a 1-0 win over Everton on the final day, the Italian was quick to shift focus to next season.

Senesi Set to Strengthen Spurs Backline
With Andy Robertson already through the door on a free, Tottenham are now reshaping their defensive unit. Senesi was a standout performer for Bournemouth last season, starting 37 Premier League games and chipping in with five assists as the Cherries finished sixth. His composure, progressive passing, and tactical awareness are expected to complement Micky van de Ven’s pace and driving runs — giving De Zerbi more attacking options from deep.
