Tottenham are stepping up their search for attacking reinforcements, with the Savinho deal from Manchester City progressing as De Zerbi looks to bolster his front line. But the Brazilian winger likely won’t be the only new face out wide, with reports suggesting Spurs want two fresh wingers this summer.
One name firmly on their radar: Rafael Leão, whose latest comments on his future will have caught Tottenham’s attention.
Leão Hints at Premier League Move
The AC Milan star says he’s ready for a new challenge after seven years at the club, and has now gone further — admitting a move away appeals to him, with the Premier League his preferred destination.
Speaking to Sport TV, the 26-year-old said a change of scenery would help his development: “I need a new challenge. I’ve won trophies in Italy and spent many years there. The league continues to grow, but I believe the Premier League or La Liga would suit my style of football and allow me to showcase my abilities even more.”
He added that a Premier League move would make him “very happy,” citing the intense competition as something that would push him to his best.
What Would a Deal Take?
Tottenham’s interest in Leão isn’t new — they were linked last summer and reportedly explored a move then too. This time, though, competition looks fierce, with Italian reports suggesting Manchester United and Chelsea are also tracking him.
AC Milan are said to be willing to let him go for around €50-60m (£43.2m-£52m), potentially setting up a scramble among Premier League clubs for his signature.
