Done Deal: Tottenham Land £51m La Liga Right-Back!

Spurs Eye £51m Sociedad Ace As De Zerbi Hunts Late Right-Back Fix!

Tottenham are reportedly considering a last-gasp swoop for Real Sociedad’s Jon Aramburu as a possible long-term solution at right-back, with the 24-year-old touted as an eventual successor to Djed Spence.

Archie Gray has continued to get the nod in that position early this season, and Roberto De Zerbi has spoken up for his ability to handle the role despite some shaky moments in the opening fixtures. The Italian has publicly stood by the young Englishman’s versatility, insisting he has the tools to grow into the role over time.

Behind closed doors, though, word is the Italian would rather land a more seasoned option before the window shuts on September 1. Spurs’ hierarchy are said to be weighing up whether a short-term fix is worth pursuing given how limited the market is this late in the summer, or whether Gray should simply be given more time to adapt.

Aramburu has caught the eye in Spain over the last two campaigns, standing out for his attacking output from full-back and his composure on the ball. He now has several Premier League suitors circling, with a release clause understood to be around £51m putting Tottenham on high alert.

The north London club have also been tied to Neco Williams as an alternative target, while Daniel Munoz looks set to join Nottingham Forest instead, effectively narrowing the pool of realistic options left for Spurs to consider.

With the deadline fast approaching, all eyes are on whether De Zerbi pulls off one final piece of business, or whether Tottenham enter the new season trusting Gray to continue his development at right-back.
