Liverpool Receive Major Bradley Barcola Boost as PSG Add Another Attacker

Liverpool’s chances of signing Bradley Barcola could have received a major boost following a significant development in France on Saturday.

Fabrizio Romano reiterated on Friday that Liverpool remain in ‘daily’ contact with Paris Saint-Germain regarding a possible deal for the 23-year-old. The French winger is reportedly already in agreement with the Reds over personal terms.

However, the biggest obstacle remains the transfer fee. Liverpool are believed to be willing to spend up to £120 million, while PSG are reportedly demanding around £145m.

PSG Confirm Ferran Torres Arrival

PSG confirmed on Saturday that they had completed the signing of Ferran Torres from Barcelona, with the Spanish international putting pen to paper on a five-year contract.

Torres reportedly cost the French champions £42.7m, according to The Athletic, making him another significant attacking addition after the recent arrival of Maghnes Akliouche from Monaco.

Could Torres Make Barcola More Likely to Leave?

Although Torres’ transfer is not directly linked to Barcola’s future, his arrival could potentially make it easier for PSG to consider selling one of their existing attackers.

Luis Enrique now has an incredible amount of attacking talent to choose from, with several players competing for just three places in his starting frontline.

PSG’s attacking options currently include Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, Ousmane Dembele, Desire Doue, Bradley Barcola, Ferran Torres, Maghnes Akliouche and Ibrahim Mbaye.

With competition for minutes becoming increasingly intense, it could become difficult for Enrique to keep everyone satisfied—particularly if PSG continue strengthening their attack.

Barcola featured prominently for PSG in the Champions League last season, but securing regular starts could prove more challenging in 2026/27 given the increased competition.

Liverpool still need to meet PSG’s valuation if they want to complete the transfer, but Torres’ arrival could be an important development. The growing competition in Paris may ultimately increase the possibility of Barcola being allowed to leave this summer.
