France winger Bradley Barcola has faced criticism for a subdued display in the World Cup match against Paraguay.
The 23-year-old saw little of the ball and struggled to make an impact when he did get involved, eventually being replaced just before the hour mark by Désiré Doué, who made an immediate difference after coming on.
Liverpool are reported to have identified Barcola as a major summer target and hold him in high regard, with a move potentially opening up at PSG as the French club look close to landing Yan Diomande as a replacement.
Fabrizio Romano has recently connected Barcola with both Liverpool and Arsenal, raising fresh questions over his future at the Parc des Princes. According to Romano, no decision has been made on Barcola’s next step, with contract renewal talks having stalled for around a year.
Liverpool remain strongly interested, while Arsenal have listed him as a backup option behind their primary target, Morgan Rogers. PSG would be willing to sell, but only for a substantial fee.
