Spurs are already working on possible deals for Manchester City’s Savinho and Liverpool’s Cody Gakpo, but the Savinho pursuit is said to be dragging, with mounting frustration over City’s stance leaving no guarantee of a breakthrough. That’s pushed Spurs to widen the net, with Yılmaz emerging as one alternative after two eye-catching seasons in Istanbul.
Turkish reports claim Tottenham have registered concrete interest in the 26-year-old, who bagged 12 goals in all competitions last term. His versatility across the left flank and other attacking roles is said to be a big part of the appeal. With two years left on his current deal, Galatasaray may soon have to make a call on his long-term future. Everton are also credited with interest, setting up potential competition for his signature. Yılmaz himself is said to view a Premier League move as a dream, though that ambition alone isn’t expected to translate into him agitating for an exit.

Galatasaray are reportedly holding out for around €50m (£42.8m), and have already shown they mean business — journalist Yağız Sabuncuoğlu reported the club knocked back an offer of €35m (£30m). Despite his Premier League dream, Yılmaz is expected to leave the decision largely in Galatasaray’s hands rather than push for a move himself, which could make life difficult for both Spurs and Everton.
For Tottenham, Yılmaz represents a serious but costly alternative as their Savinho plans hit turbulence. With Everton circling and Galatasaray already rejecting a hefty bid, the situation could move quickly — meaning Spurs may need to act decisively and be ready to meet a big price tag if they want to get a deal for the Turkey international over the line.
