Liverpool have reportedly made a major breakthrough in their pursuit of Paris Saint-Germain winger Bradley Barcola, with the Frenchman said to have agreed personal terms on a five-year contract with the Reds.
The 23-year-old has emerged as one of Liverpool’s priority attacking targets, with the club looking to strengthen their forward line following Mohamed Salah’s departure.
Reports on Wednesday claim Liverpool and PSG have now reached an agreement in principle worth around €128 million (£109.7m) for the transfer. However, other reports have stressed that negotiations over the final fee are still ongoing, so the deal should not yet be described as officially completed.
Liverpool have reportedly been willing to push significantly higher in their pursuit, while PSG’s valuation has previously been reported as high as £145m.
If the latest reports are confirmed, Barcola could become one of Liverpool’s biggest signings of the summer and a major addition to Andoni Iraola’s attack.
