Tottenham have kept up their interest in Manchester City’s Savinho, according to Brazilian outlet Globo Esporte, as they push to add a dynamic wide forward to Roberto De Zerbi’s attack this summer. The 22-year-old Brazilian is said to be one of the club’s top targets in that area.
Globo Esporte reports that Spurs have now tabled an improved bid worth around £85 million, a clear sign of how far they’re willing to go to bring Savinho to north London ahead of next season. The player himself is reportedly keen on leaving the Etihad in search of a fresh start and more regular football. City, though, are said to be standing firm and unwilling to let him go unless their valuation is met, leaving Tottenham waiting on a response to their latest offer.

Savinho’s time at City hasn’t gone to plan since his £30.8 million move from sister club Troyes in July 2024, a transfer sparked by a standout loan spell at Girona in 2023/24 where he impressed with his pace, dribbling and creativity. He showed early promise at the Etihad, but his role shrank considerably last season — just 1,502 minutes across 36 appearances, with four goals and three assists — as competition from the likes of Jeremy Doku and Antoine Semenyo limited his opportunities. A move elsewhere could give him the platform to rebuild the form that first caught City’s eye, and his age, skill set and versatility mean he remains an appealing option for other clubs.
This isn’t the first time Tottenham have gone after Savinho — they tried and failed to sign him last summer after Pep Guardiola blocked the move. Their renewed pursuit shows their interest hasn’t cooled, especially with the club needing fresh attacking quality following Son Heung-min’s departure and amid ongoing uncertainty over Richarlison’s future. Savinho is one of several forwards on Spurs’ radar, alongside players like Cody Gakpo, but his pace and width continue to make him a standout target.
With an £85 million bid now on the table, Tottenham appear to be edging closer to City’s asking price, even if approval for the sale hasn’t yet been given. Much may now depend on whether City are satisfied with the financial terms — and Savinho’s own apparent desire to leave could tip things in Spurs’ favour as the window nears its end.
Landing the Brazilian would be a strong statement of intent for Tottenham, given his age and untapped potential. Convincing City to sell a player they signed just two years ago won’t be easy, but with £85 million now on the table, talks could be entering a more decisive stage. Should the two clubs find agreement, Savinho could end up as one of Tottenham’s most important attacking signings of the summer — and a chance for the winger to reignite his career away from Manchester.
