🚨 Harvey Elliott Reveals How Giorgi Mamardashvili Convinced Him to Join Valencia

Liverpool midfielder Harvey Elliott has revealed that goalkeeper Giorgi Mamardashvili played a key role in convincing him to join Valencia on a season-long loan.

The 23-year-old completed his move to the La Liga side on deadline day after finding it difficult to secure regular playing time at Liverpool. Elliott reportedly made it clear that Valencia was his preferred destination, despite interest from other clubs.

Interestingly, Valencia will cover only part of Elliott’s wages, even though Liverpool had reportedly received offers from clubs prepared to pay his full salary.

Before making his decision, Elliott spoke with Mamardashvili, who spent four years at Valencia before moving to Liverpool in 2025. The Georgian goalkeeper trained alongside Elliott during pre-season and gave his former club a glowing recommendation.

Mamardashvili reportedly told Elliott that Valencia’s supporters are incredible, particularly during difficult periods, while also praising the city and the club.

Elliott admitted that he was excited by what he heard from his Liverpool teammate and is now looking forward to experiencing Valencia for himself.

The loan move gives Elliott an opportunity to play more regularly and regain his rhythm, while Liverpool will hope his spell in Spain helps him return to Anfield as a stronger and more confident player.
