🚨 Fabrizio Romano: Liverpool have struck an agreement with a Premier League star 🔴👀

With only ten days left before the summer transfer window closes, Liverpool are expected to accelerate their transfer activity.

The Reds are still pursuing a blockbuster move for PSG winger Bradley Barcola, but another deal appears to be developing. Fabrizio Romano reports that Liverpool have reached a broad verbal agreement with Brighton winger Yankuba Minteh over personal terms.

Romano stated on X that Minteh has given the green light to Liverpool’s project, although Brighton have rejected the Reds’ latest £60m offer. Talks between the clubs are continuing, with Liverpool remaining confident about completing the deal.

The transfer expert had earlier revealed that Liverpool submitted a £60m proposal after reaching an agreement on personal terms with the Gambian winger.

Minteh is reportedly being pursued alongside Barcola rather than as a replacement for him, with the Frenchman still Liverpool’s primary target.

The Brighton winger could help fill the gap created by Mohamed Salah’s departure on the right side of Liverpool’s attack. Meanwhile, Barcola could strengthen the opposite flank and potentially influence Cody Gakpo’s future amid reported interest from Tottenham Hotspur.

Liverpool’s interest in Minteh also appears to have overtaken their previous pursuit of PSG youngster Ibrahim Mbaye, with reports suggesting that interest has cooled.

While Minteh’s record of 10 goals and nine assists in 73 appearances for Brighton is not yet elite, his explosive pace, direct running and ability to deliver dangerous balls into the box could make him an intriguing option for Liverpool—particularly if the club succeeds in bringing Alexander Isak to Anfield.
