Liverpool Launch Fresh £60m Bid for Yankuba Minteh After Agreeing Personal Terms – Romano

Liverpool have returned with an improved £60 million bid for Brighton winger Yankuba Minteh after their opening £50m offer was turned down.

Fabrizio Romano reports that Liverpool have also reached a broad verbal agreement with the 22-year-old over personal terms, with Minteh giving the green light to the move to Anfield.

However, Brighton have rejected the latest £60m proposal, although negotiations remain ongoing and Liverpool are reportedly confident a deal can still be reached.

Interestingly, Minteh is not being viewed as an alternative to Bradley Barcola. Liverpool still consider the PSG winger their main target and are exploring the possibility of signing both players this summer.

The potential move for Minteh is a major gamble, though, as the winger is currently recovering from right-leg surgery and could be sidelined for another two to three months. He has also scored only nine Premier League goals across his two seasons with Brighton.

Despite those concerns, Liverpool appear determined to strengthen their attack and could be preparing for a huge double swoop for Minteh and Barcola.
