Eight Liverpool players could depart this week as FSG are reportedly ‘likely to approve’ multiple exits.

Liverpool supporters may be focused on potential new arrivals as the summer transfer window enters its final week, but there could also be a number of departures from Anfield before the deadline.
Fans already said emotional goodbyes to Mohamed Salah and Andy Robertson at the end of last season, while Ibrahima Konate left on a free transfer in the weeks that followed. Curtis Jones has also recently completed a move to Inter Milan.
Several young players, including Ifeanyi Ndukwe and Kieran Morrison, have moved out on loan, and more youngsters could follow before next Tuesday’s deadline.
According to James Pearce’s latest Transfer DealSheet for The Athletic, Federico Chiesa and Harvey Elliott face uncertain futures after both were left out of Andoni Iraola’s squad for Sunday’s 2-2 draw with Newcastle. Pearce also suggested it would not be surprising to see either player leave this week.
Liverpool are also expected to approve several loan departures, with Kaide Gordon, Wellity Lucky, Jayden Danns and Keyrol Figueroa among those attracting interest.
Meanwhile, Luke Chambers and James McConnell have generated strong interest from Championship clubs. However, Liverpool have yet to decide whether to keep the pair or send them out on loan.
After six weeks of working with most of the squad, Iraola should now have a clearer picture of which players he wants to retain and which ones can leave, either permanently or temporarily.
Loan moves appear particularly likely for Gordon, Lucky, Danns and Figueroa, who would benefit from regular first-team football elsewhere. Chambers and McConnell, however, could still have opportunities at Liverpool, although they may primarily serve as backup options.
The biggest decisions could involve Elliott and Chiesa. Both have shown their quality as impact players for Liverpool in recent seasons, but neither is likely to be satisfied with a limited role.
Sunday’s squad selection suggests Iraola may not currently view either player as a key part of his plans. Their chances of regular football could become even slimmer if Liverpool add Bradley Barcola and/or Yankuba Minteh, while Hugo Ekitike is also expected to return from injury later in the campaign.
Ideally, both Elliott and Chiesa would remain at Anfield as valuable squad options. However, if their opportunities are set to be limited, it would also be understandable if they chose to pursue regular football elsewhere.
