Tottenham land their next signing as Romano confirms ‘Here We Go’ after accepted offer

Tottenham goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario is set to leave the club for Juventus after Fabrizio Romano confirmed his famous ‘Here We Go’ on the deal.

Vicario’s future at Spurs had looked increasingly uncertain following the Italian’s hernia surgery in March. Antonin Kinsky stepped in during his absence, while Vicario’s inconsistent performances last season further raised questions over his long-term position at Tottenham.

Juventus had initially been exploring a move for Aston Villa goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez, but that option eventually fell through. Their attention then shifted firmly towards Vicario, with Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio reporting that the Bianconeri had become serious contenders for his signature.

Negotiations between the two clubs progressed quickly, with a loan deal including an option to buy emerging as the preferred solution. Vicario was also keen on a return to Serie A, helping push the transfer towards completion.

Romano has now confirmed that Juventus and Tottenham have reached an agreement for Vicario.

The transfer insider posted on X:

“Juventus agree deal to sign Guglielmo Vicario from Tottenham, here we go! Spurs accept loan proposal with buy option clause – not mandatory.”

Romano added that Vicario wanted the move and is leaving Tottenham today, with the Italian goalkeeper now set to become Juventus’ latest signing.
