Tottenham Linked With £65m Chelsea Star as De Zerbi Eyes Attacking Reinforcement
Tottenham Hotspur have been linked with a potential move for Chelsea forward Nicolas Jackson as Roberto De Zerbi continues his efforts to reshape the Spurs attack.
Jackson emerged as a reported Tottenham target earlier in the summer, with Chelsea understood to have placed a valuation of around £65 million on the Senegal international. Reports suggested De Zerbi was keen to add more attacking firepower following Tottenham’s extensive recruitment campaign.
The 25-year-old spent last season on loan at Bayern Munich and has faced increased competition for places at Chelsea. That situation has made his future at Stamford Bridge uncertain, with the Blues prepared to consider offers for the striker.
However, Tottenham’s interest appears to have cooled. Football.London journalist Alasdair Gold previously indicated that Spurs were not expected to pursue a deal for Jackson despite the links.
The situation has since developed further, with Chelsea reportedly holding talks with Aston Villa over a potential £65m deal for Jackson.
For Tottenham, the search for another attacking option continues. De Zerbi has already overseen a huge summer rebuild, with Spurs spending more than £300m on new players, including the recent arrival of Savio from Manchester City.
With the transfer window approaching its final stages, Spurs supporters will be watching closely to see whether De Zerbi makes another major attacking addition before the deadline.
