The Portuguese midfielder made his first appearance in the starting lineup under Roberto De Zerbi, having previously come on as a substitute to score the decisive goal against Wolves. The 30-year-old put in a typically robust and high-energy shift, combining with Rodrigo Bentancur and Conor Gallagher to dominate the midfield battle against Villa.
After the game, Palhinha turned to social media to celebrate his teammates and acknowledge the backing of the Spurs supporters.
