Federico Chiesa has admitted he may need to consider leaving Liverpool if he cannot secure regular playing time under new manager Andoni Iraola.
The Italian winger, who struggled for minutes during his first season at Anfield, revealed that he plans to discuss his future with the club after Liverpool’s pre-season tour in the United States. Chiesa stressed that playing consistently is his priority and suggested he could seek opportunities elsewhere if that remains out of reach in the Premier League.
Chiesa also spoke highly of teammate Curtis Jones, revealing that the midfielder had asked him about life in Italy. The former Juventus star praised Italy’s lifestyle and climate, while describing Jones as a technically gifted player who would be a strong addition for Inter Milan should the Serie A giants pursue a move.
His comments have fuelled speculation that both Chiesa and Jones could leave Liverpool before the end of the summer transfer window. Neither player has been a guaranteed starter in recent seasons, and Iraola is expected to reshape the squad as he begins his reign at Anfield.
While both players could still use pre-season to impress the new manager, uncertainty remains over their long-term futures, with transfer interest continuing to grow.
