Bournemouth forward Eli Junior Kroupi has emerged as a top target, having scored 13 goals in 33 Premier League appearances during a standout breakout campaign. The 20-year-old has drawn admirers from across the continent, with Barcelona reportedly eyeing him as a possible replacement option for Julián Álvarez.
With competition heating up, former scout Bryan King believes Tottenham need to pull out all the stops, floating the idea of a “golden contract” to win the race for Kroupi. He warned, though, that a serious push from Paris Saint-Germain could see Spurs miss out entirely. Given Kroupi’s French nationality and PSG’s status as reigning Champions League winners, the Ligue 1 giants carry a natural pull—and their financial muscle is more than capable of meeting Bournemouth’s £85 million valuation.
Even so, King was full of praise for the youngster, describing him as a versatile, technically gifted player with a maturity beyond his years. While PSG could be his heart’s preference, first-team opportunities there may be harder to come by. That’s the gap Tottenham could exploit, offering Kroupi a defined pathway, regular minutes under De Zerbi, and a rewarding contract package.
Should Spurs pull off the signing, it would mark a major statement of intent, one felt well beyond the Premier League.
