Arsenal and Liverpool could land a major opportunity this summer with PSG reportedly ready to let Bradley Barcola go for the right price.
L’Équipe reports the 23-year-old France international is no longer a guaranteed starter in Paris — a significant development given he’s contracted until 2028 and rated among Europe’s top young wide talents.
Squad competition is behind the change. Barcola’s best position is on the left, but Khvicha Kvaratskhelia has become nearly impossible to drop in key fixtures. With the Champions League just retained via a penalty shootout win over Arsenal, Luis Enrique has plenty of attacking firepower to choose from.
Arsenal could pounce on the right opportunity
For Arsenal, this is a situation worth monitoring closely. Mikel Arteta’s squad could use more width and attacking depth, and Barcola’s pace and direct dribbling would add a new dimension. Saka, Martinelli and Trossard already provide options, but another high-tempo winger would give Arteta extra rotation through a demanding campaign. After coming so close to silverware in Europe, the Gunners may feel an elite wide addition could make the difference next time.
Liverpool remain in the picture too
Liverpool’s long-standing interest hasn’t gone away, though it may hinge on how their other winger targets play out. The Reds are reportedly weighing up the terms of any possible move, especially if alternative options prove harder to land.
Price will be the deciding factor — PSG won’t sell on the cheap, and Barcola’s age, contract situation and profile suggest a big fee either way. But if Paris really are willing to do business, both Arsenal and Liverpool have good reason to act fast.
