TRIPLE MIDFIELD COUP! Tottenham Open Talks For ‘Monstrous’ New Star Eager To Join Tonali And Fernandes At Spurs!

Tottenham Hotspur are not done in the transfer market. Having already set their sights on West Ham’s Mateus Fernandes and Newcastle’s Sandro Tonali, Spurs are now in discussions over a third midfield addition as De Zerbi looks to completely overhaul his engine room.

The defensive reinforcements are already in place — Jan Paul van Hecke, Marcos Senesi, and Andy Robertson have all arrived — and attention has now firmly shifted to the middle of the park. Negotiations with Newcastle over Tonali are well advanced, with the Italian having already agreed personal terms and signalling his eagerness to move to north London. Spurs are also said to be closing in on a personal terms agreement with Fernandes, suggesting the Portuguese star is similarly keen on the project.

Kone Talks Opened As Spurs Hunt Deeper Midfield Options

According to Italian outlet Corriere della Sera, via TEAMtalk, Tottenham have now opened talks with Roma over France international Manu Kone, with a £40m bid being considered this summer.

Kone is said to be open-minded about his next destination but is drawn to the idea of joining Spurs. Financially, he represents far better value than Tonali and Fernandes — who could cost £100m and £80m respectively — making him an attractive prospect for a club spending wisely across multiple positions.

The 23-year-old is currently on World Cup duty with France, and started in midfield against Iraq in their last group outing. A standout tournament could see his price tag — and the competition for his signature — rise sharply.

Bergvall Could Pay The Price For Midfield Overhaul

With so many midfielders potentially arriving, the exit door may swing open for some of the current squad.

Reliable journalist David Ornstein reports that Lucas Bergvall has already told Tottenham he wants to leave in order to secure regular first-team football. With the likes of Tonali, Fernandes, and potentially Kone all set to arrive, game time would become extremely limited for the young Swede.

Whether Spurs agree to let him go remains to be seen — but if their primary midfield targets all come through, a Bergvall departure would surprise nobody.
