Tottenham Face Man City, Aston Villa in Race for £30m PSG Winger Who Scored at the World Cup

Tottenham Face Man City, Aston Villa in Battle for £30m PSG Winger Who Scored at the World Cup

Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly identified a PSG teen sensation as a target, but will have to see off stiff competition from Premier League rivals and top European clubs to get a deal done.

Spurs are actively in the market for wide attacking reinforcements, with new manager Roberto De Zerbi said to be prioritising the signing of more than one winger before the new season starts.

While bigger names like Rafael Leão and Savinho remain linked with a move to North London, Tottenham are also keeping tabs on an 18-year-old rising talent who already has a World Cup goal on his résumé.

Spurs Up Against City and Villa for PSG’s Ibrahim Mbaye

It was first reported last week that Tottenham had shown interest in Ibrahim Mbaye, the Senegalese winger who struggled for regular minutes at PSG last season. Since then, his stock appears to have risen further, drawing attention from other major clubs.

Transfer insider Santi Aouna reports that both Tottenham and Aston Villa are keeping close watch on Mbaye’s situation, with Manchester City now also entering the picture after adding the youngster to their summer wishlist.

Mbaye Keen to Leave Paris

The same report notes that Bundesliga sides RB Leipzig and Borussia Dortmund are tracking the winger as well. PSG reportedly value Mbaye at around €35 million (£30 million), and the player himself is said to want a move away in search of more consistent playing time — something the Ligue 1 champions appear willing to allow.

According to Aouna, Manchester City have added Mbaye to their list of tracked players for the summer window, alongside other major clubs including Tottenham, Aston Villa, Leipzig, and Dortmund who are following the 18-year-old winger. Mbaye is said to want to leave PSG this summer, with the French club open to letting him go.

With competition heating up and the window still open, Spurs will need to move fast if they want to win the race for one of Europe’s most exciting young wingers.
