Liverpool make call on £145m Bradley Barcola transfer after PSG set huge asking price

Liverpool make call on £145m Bradley Barcola transfer after PSG set huge asking price.

Liverpool have been strongly linked with a summer move for PSG winger Bradley Barcola.

The Reds view the 23-year-old France international as a major transfer target, but they have so far failed to reach an agreement with PSG. According to L’Équipe, the French champions are demanding around £145 million, a figure Liverpool are currently unwilling to meet.

Barcola is reportedly keen to leave PSG and has no intention of signing a new contract with the club. The attacker would welcome a move to Anfield, but Liverpool have now chosen to temporarily put negotiations on hold.

The two sides remain apart over PSG’s valuation, although Liverpool are expected to revive their interest during the final 10 days of the transfer window. Much could still change before the deadline.

PSG are also reportedly nearing deals for Ferran Torres and Mika Godts, which could increase the chances of Barcola being allowed to leave. With competition for places at PSG, the French winger could also be looking for a club where he can play more regularly.

A move to Liverpool could therefore suit both the player and the club. Barcola can operate on either wing and would provide additional pace, creativity and goals to Liverpool’s attack.

The Reds will hope PSG lower their £145 million valuation as the transfer window enters its final stages. Despite limited starts last season, Barcola still managed 20 goal contributions for PSG, highlighting the potential impact he could have at Anfield.
