Liverpool linked with Manchester United and Arsenal target ahead of January transfer window opening

Liverpool are said to be monitoring a top European striker ahead of January, but could be drawn into a transfer battle with Manchester United, Arsenal and AC Milan.

Arne Slot’s reign as champions has hit turbulence, with several marquee signings struggling to settle. Club-record arrival Alexander Isak has scored just three times in 16 games and is now set for a lengthy spell out after fracturing his leg against Spurs, while Florian Wirtz has managed only one goal in 23 appearances. From a £450m summer spend, only Hugo Ekitike has truly delivered, netting 11 goals so far.
With Isak injured and attacking output a concern, Liverpool may look to bolster their frontline in the winter window.

Italian outlet Gazzetta reports that the Reds are among the clubs interested in Juventus and Serbia striker Dusan Vlahovic. AC Milan are also tracking the 25-year-old, while Arsenal and Manchester United have both been linked in the past. Vlahovic has 64 goals in 162 outings for Juventus and will be free to discuss pre-contract terms with clubs outside Italy from January 1.

His hefty reported wage of around €534,000 per week could complicate any move, as it would make him the highest-paid player at both Liverpool and Arsenal. United were previously credited with interest, but that appears to have faded as January approaches.
