Negotiations in progress: Agent makes trip to complete possible Liverpool transfer deal

Andrew Robertson is set to become a free agent at the end of the season and has decided to part ways with Liverpool FC.

The defender has been linked with a number of clubs lately, with Turkish giants Fenerbahçe reportedly eager to bring him in.

According to Turkish journalist Yağız Sabuncuoğlu, Robertson’s agent recently travelled to Istanbul to hold discussions with the club. A verbal offer has already been put forward, and the player is said to be weighing it up.

However, negotiations have hit a pause due to the upcoming presidential elections in early June, which could temporarily delay transfer activity. If the situation drags on, Robertson is expected to consider other options, as waiting until June for Fenerbahçe seems unlikely.

Sabuncuoğlu noted on X that the club invited Robertson’s agent to Istanbul and made a verbal proposal, but talks were halted following the election decision.
