Speaking to Tottenham News, journalist John Wenham admitted he has not received any firm updates regarding the futures of the two executives, but he expects both could lose their jobs. According to Wenham, if Spurs avoid relegation, the owners will likely look for figures to blame for the disastrous season. He claimed Lange and Venkatesham are the most obvious candidates, particularly because of their role in appointing Thomas Frank alongside former chairman Daniel Levy. Wenham also suggested that even if both are not dismissed, he believes at least one departure is highly likely.
There is a growing sense around the club that decisive action is necessary. Lange and Venkatesham were hired to lead Tottenham into a new chapter after the Levy era, but that project has failed to deliver. Their involvement in the appointment of Frank and the transfer mistakes that have left Spurs battling relegation — a scenario that could reportedly cost the club around £245 million — has made them prime targets for removal, with many supporters seeing major changes as vital to rebuilding trust within the fanbase.
