Liverpool reach personal agreement with another winger as they look to partner him with Bradley Barcola.

Liverpool are reportedly closing in on another attacking addition after agreeing personal terms with PSG youngster Ibrahim Mbaye, potentially paving the way for him to join alongside long-term target Bradley Barcola.
The Reds have been heavily linked with Barcola throughout the summer and previously completed the signing of Victor Munoz from Osasuna, who officially became a Liverpool player on July 1.
However, Liverpool have yet to make another permanent addition, with PSG reportedly demanding around €145 million (£124m) for Barcola. The French winger has already given the go-ahead on personal terms, according to Fabrizio Romano, but Liverpool are yet to match PSG’s valuation.
Barcola’s situation has become more intriguing after he was omitted from PSG’s squad for their 1-0 French Super Cup defeat to Lens. Manager Luis Enrique refused to provide any clarity on the winger’s future, saying he would only discuss transfers once the window closes.
Mbaye was also left out of the squad, despite being an unused substitute in PSG’s UEFA Super Cup victory over Aston Villa earlier in the week.
Now, RMC Sport’s Fabrice Hawkins claims Liverpool have agreed financial terms with Mbaye over a five-year contract. The 18-year-old Senegal international reportedly wants to move to Anfield and has rejected the possibility of joining Bayer Leverkusen.
Mbaye is regarded as one of PSG’s brightest young talents, making 29 appearances across all competitions last season and scoring three goals. However, competition from Barcola, Ousmane Dembele, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia and Desire Doue has made regular playing time difficult.
Liverpool are reportedly preparing a £42 million offer for Mbaye, while PSG are looking to raise funds following their recent investments in Ferran Torres, Mika Godts and Monaco’s Maghnes Akliouche.
With personal terms reportedly agreed, Liverpool could now be edging closer to bringing in both Mbaye and Barcola as part of a major reshaping of their attacking options.
