Liverpool Reach Personal Agreement With Second Winger as Bradley Barcola Move Gathers Pace

Liverpool agree personal terms with Ibrahim Mbaye as double-PSG winger swoop takes shape

Liverpool have reportedly reached an agreement with PSG winger Ibrahim Mbaye over the financial terms of a five-year contract, with the 18-year-old said to have chosen a move to Anfield.

The Reds have been heavily pursuing Bradley Barcola this summer, but they are now also closing in on his fellow PSG winger. According to RMC Sport’s Fabrice Hawkins, Mbaye has given the green light to Liverpool and does not want to pursue interest from Bayer Leverkusen.

Mbaye enjoyed 29 appearances across all competitions last season, scoring three goals, but competition from Barcola, Ousmane Dembélé, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia and Désiré Doué has limited his opportunities.

Liverpool are reportedly preparing a bid of around £42 million for the Senegal international, while PSG are considering his future amid their recent attacking reinforcements.

The potential double swoop for Barcola and Mbaye could become one of Liverpool’s biggest stories of the summer transfer window.
