Tottenham SEAL £80m world-class star as Spurs complete HUGE transfer!

Following back-to-back 17th-place finishes in the Premier League, Tottenham Hotspur have made it clear this summer that a shift in direction is non-negotiable. Spurs have gone all-in on the transfer market, pouring resources into a squad rebuild aimed at avoiding a third straight disappointing campaign.

Around £185 million has already gone into strengthening the midfield, headlined by the arrivals of Sandro Tonali from Newcastle and Matheus Fernandes from West Ham. But that’s far from the end of Tottenham’s business, with the club still actively working on other areas of the squad.

The biggest story right now is Tottenham’s reported agreement to land Manchester City winger Savinho, in a deal believed to be worth around £75 million plus a further £10 million in potential add-ons. It’s a deal that would make a real statement about the club’s ambitions and could stand as one of the defining signings of their summer overhaul.

This isn’t a fresh interest, either — Spurs first tried to sign Savinho last summer under Thomas Frank, only for the Brazilian to opt to stay at City and continue developing under Pep Guardiola. That knockback hasn’t put Tottenham off, though, and they’ve returned this summer to push the deal over the line, valuing his pace, creativity and versatility as qualities that could transform their attack.

Savinho’s arrival could just be the start, too. De Zerbi is reportedly keen to add even more attacking quality and has set his sights on another City player, forward Omar Marmoush — a move that would further highlight Tottenham’s intent to completely reshape their frontline as they look to compete on several fronts this season.

Should the Savinho deal go through, Tottenham’s summer outlay is set to top £300 million, even with more than a week still left in the window — a staggering figure that reflects just how serious the club is about turning things around after two miserable league finishes.

It hasn’t all been outgoing cash, though. Spurs have also raised roughly £140 million through sales, with departures including captain Cristian Romero, Djed Spence and Luka Vuskovic helping to balance the heavy spending and fund further business.

Beyond Savinho and Marmoush, Tottenham have also been credited with interest in Liverpool’s Cody Gakpo, although that deal looks far trickier — Liverpool are unlikely to sanction his exit unless they’re confident in their other attacking options, and any sale would come with a hefty price tag attached.

With Savinho closing in, Marmoush and Gakpo both in the picture, and possibly more business still to come, the next few days look set to be pivotal for Tottenham. It’s already shaping up as one of the most active windows in the club’s recent history, and after two consecutive 17th-place finishes, Spurs appear determined to gamble big in pursuit of a turnaround.
