Arsenal Suffer Major Transfer Blow as Huge Deal Now Has ‘No Chance’ of Happening Before Deadline

Arsenal Transfer Target Ruled Out as Deadline Day Nears

Arsenal’s hopes of signing one of their major attacking targets this summer appear to be over, with just days remaining before the transfer window closes.

The Gunners are still looking to strengthen their forward line despite completing the signing of Christos Tzolis from Club Brugge. The Greece international has already made a strong impression, registering two assists in the Community Shield victory over Manchester City before contributing again during Arsenal’s 3-0 Premier League win over Coventry.

However, Mikel Arteta remains keen to add another attacking option after Arsenal missed out on targets including Morgan Rogers and Vinicius Junior.

Gabriel Martinelli could also be on his way out, with Saudi Pro League club Al Hilal reportedly advancing negotiations for the Brazilian winger.

One player Arsenal have been linked with is Juventus star Kenan Yildiz. Reports had suggested the Gunners could explore a swap deal involving Martinelli, while Juventus were believed to value Yildiz at around £50 million.

Despite the speculation, transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has now ruled out an Arsenal move for the 21-year-old this summer.

Romano explained that Arsenal have admired Yildiz for months but have always been aware that Juventus were unwilling to sell him. His current injury also makes a summer transfer even less likely.

“Arsenal like Kenan Yildiz, of course,” Romano said, while making it clear that there is currently no realistic chance of the deal happening.

Arsenal Turn Attention to Julian Alvarez

With Yildiz seemingly unavailable, Arsenal could look elsewhere, with Atletico Madrid forward Julian Alvarez reportedly remaining one of Arteta’s preferred targets.

The Argentina international is believed to be interested in joining Barcelona, although Atletico have made it clear they do not intend to sell him to the Catalan club.

Atletico have reportedly placed a huge €150 million (£128 million) valuation on Alvarez for any other interested club.

There has also been speculation that Alvarez could consider a return to the Premier League, despite previously being reluctant to make such a move.

The striker’s future has become increasingly uncertain after he was booed by some Atletico supporters following his return to the club.

Manager Diego Simeone has backed the player, insisting that the squad must remain united while the situation is resolved.

With the transfer deadline rapidly approaching, Arsenal now have limited time to decide whether to pursue Alvarez or move for another attacking target.
