Liverpool Discover Crystal Palace’s Price for Ismaila Sarr as Reds Prepare Another Bid
Liverpool have reportedly learned how much Crystal Palace want for Ismaila Sarr, after the Eagles rejected two offers for the Senegal international.
The Reds are looking to add another winger following their blockbuster move for Bradley Barcola, while Cody Gakpo’s expected departure to Manchester City has increased the need for attacking reinforcements.
Liverpool have already had bids of £50m and £60m rejected for Sarr, but negotiations are reportedly continuing. A new offer worth around £64m–£68m (€75m–€80m) could be submitted within the next 48 hours.
The potential fee highlights Liverpool’s urgency to bring in another forward before the transfer window closes on September 1.
Sarr enjoyed an impressive campaign for Palace last season, scoring more than 20 goals across all competitions as the club lifted the Europa Conference League trophy.
The 28-year-old’s pace, power and versatility could make him an attractive option for Andoni Iraola, with Sarr capable of playing on either wing or through the middle.
Liverpool manager Iraola has also admitted that there is transfer activity happening behind the scenes, although he refused to reveal specific details as the deadline approaches.
With Liverpool potentially needing to replace Gakpo, a move for Sarr could become one of the major stories of the final days of the transfer window.
