Liverpool Make Surprise Move for Jamie Leweling as Everton Join Transfer Race

Liverpool have reportedly emerged as surprise contenders for VfB Stuttgart winger Jamie Leweling, with Everton also monitoring the German international ahead of the transfer deadline.

According to Sky Germany, both Premier League clubs are interested in the 25-year-old attacker, although it remains unclear whether either side will make a formal approach before the window closes.

Leweling enjoyed an impressive campaign for Stuttgart last season, registering 11 goals and 12 assists across all competitions. The versatile winger is capable of playing on either flank but is particularly comfortable on the right.

His profile could make him an attractive option for Liverpool, who are still looking for a natural right-sided attacker following Mohamed Salah’s departure. While the Reds have brought in Victor Muñoz and Bradley Barcola, both are more naturally suited to operating from the left.

However, Stuttgart are under no pressure to sell Leweling, who has a contract running until 2029. Liverpool may therefore have to pay a significant fee to convince the Bundesliga club to negotiate, especially with deadline day fast approaching.

Everton are also keeping a close eye on the situation. With Iliman Ndiaye reportedly heading to Manchester City, the Toffees could view Leweling as a potential replacement and may consider making a late move for the winger.
