“He Is So Bad” — O’Hara Rages at Spurs Flop but Singles Out One Bright Spark Under De Zerbi

Stamford Bridge has long been an unhappy hunting ground for Tottenham, and Tuesday night did nothing to change that reputation.

Spurs went into the game knowing a draw would have all but confirmed their Premier League survival with one match to spare. Instead, they left with another defeat, going down 2-1 after Enzo Fernández and Andrey Santos put Chelsea in command, with Richarlison’s late strike amounting to little more than a consolation.

The loss leaves Tottenham just two points clear of West Ham with one game remaining, and the threat of relegation very much alive.

Former Spurs midfielder Jamie O’Hara made no attempt to hide his fury during his live talkSPORT reaction, tearing into both the team and individual players throughout the broadcast. As Tottenham chased an equaliser late on, O’Hara grew visibly exasperated when Pedro Porro drove forward but opted against shooting or crossing, and the move eventually broke down with a backwards pass. He was scathing in his assessment of Mathys Tel, offering a blunt verdict on the youngster’s contribution, before broadening his criticism to the performance as a whole — accusing the side of falling well short of the standard expected at Premier League level.

O’Hara was particularly cutting about Randal Kolo Muani, calling his display one of the poorest individual performances he could recall, while also pointing to a pattern of careless errors gifting Chelsea chances they should never have been given.

He did concede that a handful of players have shown some improvement under Roberto De Zerbi in recent weeks, but maintained that the squad’s overall quality remains a long way below what a club of Tottenham’s standing should be putting out.

All attention now shifts to Sunday’s final-day meeting with Everton at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. The Toffees arrive in poor shape, without a win in their last five games — a run that included a loss to Sunderland — but Spurs supporters will take little comfort from that given their side’s wretched home form this season.

The task is straightforward enough on paper: don’t lose, and survival is secured. But after another deeply unconvincing display in west London, confidence — among fans and pundits alike — is in short supply ahead of what could shape up to be one of the most nerve-shredding final days in the club’s recent memory.
