Luis Enrique’s PSG Transfer Response Fuels Fresh Bradley Barcola Exit Speculation

Luis Enrique’s comments on potential PSG departures appear to hint at frustration with Bradley Barcola

Liverpool have been handed fresh encouragement in their pursuit of PSG winger Bradley Barcola after Luis Enrique made comments that appear to question the commitment of unhappy players.

Barcola has emerged as Liverpool’s leading transfer target, with reports claiming the Reds and PSG remain in regular contact over a possible deal. The 23-year-old is also believed to have agreed personal terms with Liverpool.

Speaking ahead of PSG’s Trophée des Champions clash with Lens, Enrique suggested that players who are unhappy at the club could be allowed to leave.

> “When a player doesn’t want to come here, or doesn’t have a smile on their face about being here, it is better to find another solution.”

Although Enrique did not mention Barcola directly, his comments have inevitably sparked speculation given the winger’s reported desire to join Liverpool.

Barcola was also left on the bench during PSG’s UEFA Super Cup victory over Aston Villa, adding further fuel to the transfer rumours. His warm embrace with sporting director Luis Campos after the match only intensified speculation about his future.

With PSG reportedly open to significant offers, there is growing belief that Barcola could be heading for the Parc des Princes exit — with Liverpool increasingly emerging as his likely destination.
