🚨 HEADLINE: Liverpool Agree €35m Deal for Highly-Rated Belgian Goalkeeper Lucca Brughmans

Liverpool have reportedly completed a €35 million deal to sign 18-year-old Belgian goalkeeper Lucca Brughmans from Genk, securing one of Europe’s promising young goalkeepers for the future.

The teenager is not expected to move to Anfield immediately. Instead, Brughmans will remain at Genk for the entire 2026/27 season before joining Liverpool in the summer of 2027. Liverpool have confirmed that he has signed a long-term contract with the club.

Brughmans has already gained senior experience despite his age, making 15 appearances for Genk’s first team. He has also represented Belgium at youth level and has captained the country at U17 and U19 level, highlighting the leadership qualities Liverpool see in him.

The deal is being viewed as a long-term investment. Liverpool can allow the youngster to continue developing in Belgium rather than immediately placing him under pressure at Anfield. Reports also suggest that other major European clubs had shown interest in the goalkeeper.

The move also provides an interesting development in Liverpool’s goalkeeping plans. Giorgi Mamardashvili had been linked with a possible departure, but with Brughmans staying at Genk for another season, Liverpool are expected to retain Mamardashvili for the current campaign.

In short: Liverpool have secured a highly-rated goalkeeper for the future, with Brughmans expected to spend another season gaining valuable experience at Genk before heading to Anfield in 2027. 🔴🧤
