Four Tottenham Players Who Could Be Forced Out if Savinho and Marmoush Arrive

Tottenham’s potential double swoop for Manchester City attackers Savinho and Omar Marmoush could be one of the biggest moves of the window, but it may also have serious consequences for several players already in Roberto De Zerbi’s squad.

Spurs have already invested heavily in defence and midfield, signing Jan Paul van Hecke, Sandro Tonali and Mateus Fernandes. Now, with Savinho and Marmoush reportedly edging closer to North London, Tottenham appear ready to significantly upgrade their attack as well.

The arrival of both forwards would give De Zerbi greater pace, creativity and versatility in the final third. However, it would also create fierce competition for places and could leave some current attackers facing uncertain futures.

Richarlison

Richarlison has repeatedly been linked with a Tottenham exit but has managed to remain at the club and fight for his place. However, Marmoush’s arrival could make his situation much more difficult.

With Marmoush and Dominic Solanke potentially ahead of him as central attacking options, Richarlison could find himself reduced to a supporting role. A return to Everton has previously been suggested, and regular football could be attractive to the Brazilian.

If he stays beyond deadline day, his future could become a major talking point again in January depending on how frequently De Zerbi uses him.

Mikey Moore

Mikey Moore could also see his opportunities reduced once Tottenham’s injured players return and new signings arrive.

The youngster may be required against Brentford because Spurs are currently dealing with several injuries, including those affecting Dejan Kulusevski, Wilson Odobert and Xavi Simons. Solanke and Mohammed Kudus are also doubts.

Moore spent last season on loan at Rangers, making 47 appearances and scoring seven league goals. While another permanent move appears unlikely, another loan could make sense if Tottenham believe regular first-team football is more important for his development than remaining on the bench.

Dane Scarlett

Scarlett’s situation could be even more complicated.

The 22-year-old has struggled to establish himself as a regular senior striker following several loan spells, with his latest spell at Hibernian producing just one goal in 13 appearances.

With Marmoush potentially joining Solanke in Tottenham’s attacking plans, Scarlett’s path into the first team could become even harder. His limited involvement during pre-season also suggests he may not be central to De Zerbi’s plans.

A permanent departure or another loan could therefore be the most realistic outcome before the transfer window closes.

Wilson Odobert

Odobert may be the most unfortunate of the four.

The French winger had begun showing encouraging signs before suffering a serious injury in February, which halted his progress. Now, with Savinho potentially arriving, he could face even stronger competition once he returns.

Savinho would likely receive plenty of opportunities under De Zerbi, potentially pushing Odobert further down the attacking pecking order.

However, Tottenham are unlikely to have completely given up on him. His pace and direct style remain valuable, and he could still force his way back into contention once fully fit.

The problem is timing. His injury could make a summer transfer difficult, meaning any potential move may have to wait until January.

Tottenham’s attack is about to look very different

The potential arrivals of Savinho and Marmoush would underline just how dramatically De Zerbi is transforming Tottenham.

After strengthening defence and midfield, Spurs could now add two dynamic attackers capable of playing in several positions. That would give the manager considerably more depth, but it would inevitably create winners and losers within the existing squad.

Richarlison, Moore, Scarlett and Odobert all have different circumstances, but the same issue connects them: competition for attacking places at Tottenham could become extremely intense.

If both Savinho and Marmoush arrive, De Zerbi will have some major decisions to make — not only about his starting XI, but also about which players remain in the squad and who could be moved on before the transfer window closes.
