ROMERO INJURY SHOCK! De Zerbi Delivers CONCERNING Update After Captain Limped Off in Tears

Tottenham Hotspur manager Roberto De Zerbi has admitted the club still doesn’t know how serious Cristian Romero’s injury is after the defender was forced off in their 1-0 loss to Sunderland on Sunday.

The Spurs captain was involved in a heavy second-half collision with goalkeeper Antonín Kinský after an incident involving Brian Brobbey. While Kinský was able to continue after treatment, Romero couldn’t, leaving the pitch in visible discomfort.

After the match, De Zerbi said the extent of the injury remains unclear and will be assessed in the coming days. He also admitted there’s a chance it could involve Romero’s knee but refused to jump to conclusions.

He emphasized Romero’s importance to the squad, both on and off the pitch, as Spurs now await updates with growing concern during a critical stage of the season.
